Based on experiences elaborated in personal analysis,in clinical practice, and in the study of classical and contemporary authors, we discussed the importance of valuing the classical model of psychoanalytic training, taking into consideration the complexity of demands of the unconscious and the traumatic in its various manifestations throughout the history of psychoanalysis and in contemporaneity, emphasizing the similarities between the notion of contemporaneity conceived by the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben and psychoanalytic concepts of time.
