The author presents some characteristics of Bion's style, articulating his rhetorical strategy with the transmission of psychoanalysis. The book Experiences in Groups (Bion, 1961/2004) is used to show how the narrative of Bion's clinical observations is also intended as a way of reproducing an emotional atmosphere. Through a performative language, Bion involves the reader in the creation of an enlarged group, and so finds a way to communicate and to disseminate his ideas promoting a clinical thinking. This book is also used by the author to outline a method of reading and interpreting texts.
