This paper considers the clinical implications of two premises: that Metapsychology is the heart of psychoanalysis, and that any human experience will always have three dimensions - the logical, the psycho-logical and the metapsycho-logical. After a brief practical exposition concerned with each one of these levels, a clinical case is introduced, where the interplay of these levels is depicted. Meta-psycho-logy is conceptualised following a personal vision by the author as "the ensemble of economic efforts held by the psychic to represent emotional experiences through an aesthetic trick, engendering awe and/or astonishment".
