Abstract

AZEVEDO, Berta Hoffmann. The clinic and the transmission of psychoanalysis. J. psicanal. [online]. 2014, vol.47, n.86, pp. 55-60. ISSN 0103-5835.

This text is a reproduction of the author's oral presentation at the Institute's Meeting event held at the Brazilian Psychoanalytic Society in April 2014. The author addresses the issue of psychoanalysis' transmission and states the adverse effects of unspoken institutional impasses created by non-elaborated institutional politicians. The contemporary clinic is presented as requiring the presence of creative analysts who can invent their own ways of being analysts with each patient. The Training Institute is understood as a space that should favour the emergence of independent and appropriate analysts from its own clinic and the rigid institutional ideal of what should be an analysis and an analyst are pointed out by the author as barriers to analytic training.

Keywords : analytic training; contemporary clinic.
