This paper, based on still partial results of a research taking place at SBPSP's Division of Documentation and Research on the History of Psychoanalysis collection aims to follow the trajectories of Durval Marcondes and Adelheid Koch focusing especially on the period in which they developed their struggle for the construction of the Brazilian Psychoanalytic Society, based on the survey of family and social roots of these two characters.
