Abstract

PORTO, Tiago da Silva. Supervision: a political act of friendship. J. psicanal. [online]. 2015, vol.48, n.89, pp. 43-52. ISSN 0103-5835.

In this article, the author thinks about (psychoanalysis under) supervision from the user's standpoint: the psychoanalyst in training. This paper reviews the tripartite essentials of psychoanalytic training that were proposed by Eitingon. Based on Fedida's thinking, the author distinguishes between the purposes of supervision in its origins and the potentiality of this experience. He defines supervision as a psychoanalytic act since it is sustained from the proponent's active and critic position, and he mentions the Freudian term Ausbildung as a reference. Therefore, supervision is considered a place of tension and friendship - friendship, according to Derrida's work, in its philosophical and political aspects.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; training; institution; supervision; friendship.
