Abstract

BERTONZZIN, Marcel Henrique  and  ABRANTES, Thiago. Psychoanalyst's and analysand's places in Ferenczi's work. J. psicanal. [online]. 2015, vol.48, n.89, pp. 137-154. ISSN 0103-5835.

Taking Foucault's concept of "games of truth" and after a close reading of part of Ferenczi's work (1919-1933), the authors write about it with the specific purpose of defining the patient's and the psychoanalyst's places in those texts. In other words, this paper aims to identify their tasks, powers and weaknesses, delineating how this can be found in psychoanalytic theory and practice, and describing their foundations. Given this focus, the authors are not going to approach all the Ferenczi's theorization, but they are going to select only those aspects that are related to their purpose in this study. They start with Foucault's concepts that were their tools for the close reading of the Hungarian psychoanalyst Sándor Ferenczi's articles. After that, they are going to analyze Ferenczi's writings. This paper aims to exemplify a way of reading the production of truth in the psychoanalytic practice in order to present another possibility of studying recent productions about contemporary subject/ patient.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; Michel Foucault; clinical practice; Sándor Ferencz.
