Abstract

GHELLER, Julio Hirschhorn. "Formatted" (or conventional) analysts cannot dream. J. psicanal. [online]. 2016, vol.49, n.91, pp. 35-44. ISSN 0103-5835.

The author writes about training issues in psychoanalytic institutes. He emphasizes the importance of encouraging the creativity of analysts who are in psychoanalytic training. The author also suggests that psychoanalysts, from the early stage in their careers, should take part in discussions at scientific meetings in order to develop their potential. He emphasizes that each analyst should have the purpose of establishing their own psychoanalytic identity. The author comments on the prejudice against homosexual psychoanalysts; he takes this prejudice as a model to think about the rigidity of idealized standards for the psychoanalyst's profile.

Keywords : castration; creativity; homosexuality; perversion; disavowal.
