Abstract

KHOURI, Magda Guimarães  and  LEITE NETTO, Oswaldo Ferreira. Psychoanalysis under the open sky. J. psicanal. [online]. 2016, vol.49, n.91, pp.91-96. ISSN 0103-5835.

The authors propose a reflection on psychoanalytic practices under the open sky. According to this paper, those practices may enable psychoanalysts (and their psychoanalytic listening) to reach those individuals who are usually marginalized, or even ignored in their invisibility - an invisibility which arises from a social and economic system that excludes people. The authors show a relation between intolerance and the concept of abjection as they discuss the issue of intolerance. This paper emphasizes the importance of an apparatus, in the psychoanalytic institution, that puts psychoanalysts in touch with the reality in which they live.

Keywords : alterity; abjection; community; social inequality; psychoanalytic listening; psychoanalytic institution.
