Abstract

GUIMARAES FILHO, Paulo Duarte. The meaning and relevance of an informal research developed among different currents of psychoanalytical thought. J. psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.51, n.94, pp. 79-93. ISSN 0103-5835.

This paper considers references in the psychoanalytic literature about clinical-theoretical concordances among different currents of psychoanalytical thought, particularly regarding the theme of countertransference. It is emphasized that these concordances indicate the occurrence of a very significant kind of research, developed in an informal and spontaneous way. This research has its basis in clinical practice, as this permits the acknowledgment of the value of notions with a greater acceptance among different psychoanalytic groups. Another aspect pointed out is how the acknowledgment of this kind of research, and of its scientific aspects, can contribute to the epistemological validation of psychoanalysis and of ways that develops the knowledge in this área.

Keywords : research; epistemology of Psychoanalysis; theoretical-clinical concordances; countertransference; projective identification.
