Taking as an illustration the plot of the television series "Thirteen reasons why", this paper discusses suicide in adolescents. The psychical panorama of the adolescent is examined, as well as its relation with the possible fantasies and motivations for suicide. Questions arise as to how to distinguish what is a manifestation of the crisis of adolescence and what is a sign of serious pathology that can lead to suicide. The need to listen to teenagers and understand their own language is emphasized, as well as the multidisciplinary help to be carried out in these cases.
