Abstract

Ignorance referring to human nature as motivation of its actions is bringing humanity under the threaten of self destruction. The struggle for life is always influenced by the splitting between desire to live and desire to die, in so for as libido and death instinct are not fused. "Roda-viva" is a musical play which in São Paulo is arising different reactions among the youth and people from elder generations. The main theme of the play is designed to draw attention to the danger or a society developing and cultivating manic ideals from childhood to adolescence and throughout adult life. The play claims that society is responsible for the crises which has spread all over the world, in consequence of a culture based rather on the manic personality which prevents human beings of making use of scientific thinking in order to build up a human society,
