the article explores the distance in between method and technique within psychoanalysis and other fields of culture. Clinical data from work with a patient launches the discussion into electronic sports, a growing contemporary phenomenon. The debate on this hiatus follows in the fields of psychoanalysis and poetry, with assistance of Fabio Herrmann and Manuel Bandeira`s work. Finally, the presence of psychoanalysis in psychiatric formation concludes the course of the text. The author hopes that such ideas can directly contribute with clinical work and psychoanalytic formation.
