Resumen

TAVARES, José Luiz Cordeiro Dias. Eros' bond between literature and psychoanalysis. J. psicanal. [online]. 2019, vol.52, n.97, pp. 35-50. ISSN 0103-5835.

Eros's purpose is to bring individuals together into one large unit, says Freud. For this, men must be libidinally interconnected. Eros is the life drive and divides the world with the death drive. In the tension between them the man moves in order to be happy. In this quest, suffering is alleviated by moving the libido and reorienting drive goals with sublimation. As an example, Freud cites the pleasure of psychic and intellectual work as the artist's joy in creating. Psychoanalysis is articulated with art, in theory and practice. This text and the reflections developed here will look at literature as an artistic expression in connection with psychoanalysis. In The interpretation of dreams, Freud quotes Virgil in Aeneid: "If I am unable to move the gods above, I will move Acheron". It is a tribute to the poet, a Freud's ode to literature when he inaugurated psychoanalysis in 1900.

Palabras clave : literature; psychoanalysis; Eros.
