Abstract

TAVARES, José Luiz Cordeiro Dias. The eroptic time: some notes on the malaise of silence and the answers in contemporary times. J. psicanal. [online]. 2020, vol.53, n.98, pp. 107-122. ISSN 0103-5835.

This article proposes to look at contemporary psychological suffering. To this end, the path taken by psychopathology since the 17th century is revisited, highlighting the impact promoted by Freud, who went from auscultation to listening to the voices that spoke of neurotic conflicts that defied anatomy and medical physiology. Psychoanalysis takes place in relation to culture. How to think about psychopathology today? In the current psychoanalytic clinic, neurotic unhappiness shares space with other sufferings such as the various forms of chemical addiction, workaholic behaviors, digital addiction, uncontrolled use of credit cards, eating disorders and psychosomatic manifestations in addition to eroptic responses in a selfie mode of existence. It is proposed that one of the articulators of these occurrences may be a state of malaise of silence, typical of contemporary times, which produces noises to deafen the experience of being-in-itself.

Keywords : psicopatologia; contemporâneo; silêncio; psychopathology; contemporary; silence.
