Abstract

TANIS, Bernardo. From Fort-Da to Fortnite: hyperconnectivity and exhaustion. J. psicanal. [online]. 2022, vol.55, n.102, pp. 47-60. ISSN 0103-5835.

This paper investigates the impact of sociocultural transformations in the production of subjectivities. It focus a reflexive look around the digital revolution and its acute hyperconnection that lead to the establishment of a particular space-time relationship. The focus of this work takes two game modes placed on the temporal axis from 1920 to 2021 and allowed some inquiry into certain differences between them. The structurating play Fort-Da analyzed by Freud in Beyond the Pleasure Principle and a ludic game of our digital age Fortnite. It addresses the uniqueness of each of these two playful experiences and also contributes to elucidate a certain confusion prevailing in the psychoanalytic environment between the constitution of the psychic subject and historically determined subjectivity, and synthetically alludes to the intertwining modes.

Keywords : contemporary subjectivity; play; symbolization; Fort-Da.
