Resumen

LEITE, Pedro Colli Badino de Souza. Hyperconnectivity and exhaustion. J. psicanal. [online]. 2022, vol.55, n.102, pp. 127-147. ISSN 0103-5835.

The article presents the idea that contemporary hyperconnectivity is the basis for an unprecedented phenomenon in our culture: the capture and symbolization of our unconscious life through the joint work between big data and machine intelligence. Such a process is described in detail and compared to the concepts of 'alpha-function' and 'construction'. If big techs have machines that perform partial psychoanalytic functions, we are facing a new economic system - surveillance capitalism - and a new type of metapsychopower that has been used to influence elections around the globe. Thus, Psychoanalysis finds itself questioned both from the clinical angle and in its historical vocation to reflect on the unconscious viscera of power.

Palabras clave : Psychoanalysis; symbolization; big data; machine intelligence; surveillance capitalism.
