Abstract

The present work proposed activities to students from 5^th to 8^th classes of elementary school, with the aim to discuss and reflect about the human values involved in each activity, such as love and regard; self esteem; social disparities, union and peace; friendship, among others. The activities included discussions, dramatic representations and argumentations about newspapers, journals clippings, and songs lyrics. At the end of the discussions regarding each selected value, the students wrote a text to report their personal opinions and feelings. The resulting data were submitted to a qualitative analysis.
