This essay aims to discuss family influence on learning processes, pointing out the importance of family alterity as to develop individual who can be recognized as self thinkers and consequently individual with healthy learning process. Family is presented as the start for children to develop their own learning processes, showing that different family teaching way is highly related to children learning processes. We describe predominant properties of families that facilitate learning processes and characteristics of families that make it difficult on their members learning processes. In conclusion, we affirm the necessity of Psychopedagogy to discuss widely about family interaction ways and the possibilities of interventions to retrieve the recognition of children self thoughts and their will for knowledge, as well as of their family members.
