CARVALHO, Fabrícia Bignotto de; CRENITTE, Patrícia Abreu Pinheiro  e  CIASCA, Sylvia Maria. Learning disturbances in the teacher vision. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2007, vol.24, n.75, pp.229-239. ISSN 0103-8486.

INTRODUCTION: The education, nowadays, goes trough great and varied discussions, and, school failure is a challenge to be faced. This study proposes to identify the knowledge of the one who works directly with the student, the teacher, for considering her/him an important character in the diagnoses of students with learning disturbances, because students with this problem receive many times stigmas or wrong attitudes referring to their actions in class. OBJECTIVE: To verify the teacher's knowledge in relation to learning disturbances. METHOD: To accomplish the objective, a questionnaire was applied to teachers of regular state school. The data obtained was analyzed statistically, discussed and concluded. RESULTS: The results pointed to a lack of knowledge about the difference between learning disturbances and learning difficulties. CONCLUSION: The findings of this study make us think that the teacher needs to verify his teaching methods, his practical and theoretical knowledge and look for more learning.
