The Brasília Chapter of the Brazilian Association of Psychopedagogy has been active in the Federal District for more than ten years, holding meetings, national and international conferences, seminars and activities in collaboration with the Office of Education of the Federal District. As precursor and the first president of that body we, together with the directory members, find it appropriate to present to the people some of the results of this work and its impact upon education. The intent of the study was to bring to light the fruits of some of our endeavors. The activities of the psychopedagogues in the public and private schools and in other institutions such as clinics, hospitals, ONGs etc, were also considered. With a sample of 240 psychopedagogues selected randomly from a population of 600 specialists in the area with the intention to evaluate their techniques of psychopedagogical intervention, in terms of lines of work and results obtained, as well as professional self-realization. The impact of psychopedagogy on the education of the Federal Disctrict is essentially reflected in the assessment staffs of the Office of Education of the Federal District.
