Abstract

SORDI, Regina Orgler. Modality of learning: a contribution to the enlargement of the concept. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2009, vol.26, n.80, pp. 303-312. ISSN 0103-8486.

Modalities of learning is one of the keystone concepts of the clinical psycho-pedagogic theory which allows to describe and understand the personal way in which one approaches and relates to the object of knowledge. This article intends, enlightened by the seminal contributions of Sara Paín and Alícia Fernández, as well as, authors from philosophy and psychoanalysis who have been dedicated to the study of thought in its aesthetic potency, to enlarge the concept of modalities of learning. It introduces the concept of reception which is related to the aesthetic dimension of thought which, in association to the concepts of assimilation and accommodation, form a triad able to include, more than the recognitive aspects of learning, its inventive and problematical dimension.

Keywords : Modalities of learning; Assimilation [accommodation mechanisms]; Learning.
