Abstract

PEDRO-SILVA, Nelson  and  SIMILI, Manoela de Fátima Cabral. The rules games and education: teachers conceptions of primary education. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.83, pp. 236-249. ISSN 0103-8486.

The rules games have been a target of researches, mainly related to its influence in the teaching-learning process. For that reason, this research was developed with the aim, among others, to analyze the academic conception about the contributions of the application of rules games in the education process and in the psychological development. For such, there was used the theory of Jean Piaget about the relations among the genetic psychology, the teaching and learning processes and the rules games. The participants were teachers, randomly chosen, teaching in the primary schooling of municipal colleges in the state of São Paulo. For the data collection, there were used a questionnaire and a half-structured interview. The results demonstrated that: a) Teachers consider the rules games as an important tool to help the teaching and learning processes; b) they do not associate them to the psychological development; c) although considering the games positive, most of them do not use them in class, even researches demonstrating its value to the educational process and psychological development.
