Facing the fact that the games are frequently ignored by the educators and by the teaching institutions in general, we aim to punctuate the importance of the ludic aspect for the child's cognitive and emotional development. Inside this context we aim to demonstrate that by using ludic activities we may develop several abilities, we explore and reflect upon reality, upon the culture in which we are inserted, which we absorb and at the same time makes us questioning rules and social roles. This article aims to highlight the role of the game as a facilitating resource in the learning process, recognizing this as an important pedagogical instrument in the learner's intellectual and social development. We conclude as showing the main ideas from the different roles the game operates in the pedagogical work wishing to stimulate on the teaching professional, the reflection upon the using of the ludic resource in the learning process.
