Abstract

TIGGEMANN, Iara Suzana. Points of meeting between the systems notacionais alphabetical and numerical. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.83, pp. 288-297. ISSN 0103-8486.

The present text proceeds from the assumption that, in the construction of the notational alphabetical and numerical systems, there are some understandings in children's first conceptualizations which are common to both systems, though they are traditionally seen as being different from each other. This bibliographical research, rested on the genetic epistemology, brings basic characteristics between the ways of structuring of the alphabetical and numerical systems, advancing then to the indication of points of meeting between the psychogenesis of these two symbolic systems. In this way, the study points to an interdisciplinary methodology in the initial years of the schooling, considering that little children use proceedings that belong to a more or less common cognitive structure.
