Abstract

MATOS, Lucy Duró. Mind map as mediation strategy for the development of higher psychological functions. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.84, pp. 395-404. ISSN 0103-8486.

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to identify a strategy to contribute to the mediation process focused on the development of higher psychological functions. METHOD: The methodology adopted was a descriptive literature review based on articles and writers on the theme explored. RESULTS: The results showed that, by registering the knowledge using the Mind Map, the individual can: integrate both of the brain hemispheres, as he uses words, images and also colors; focus his attention when pursue the concept key for preparing his map; organize the concepts by category; develop the formal logic, when practices the inductive and deductive reasoning; understands the meaning of sort, compare and serialize as a basis for planning; and enhances perception to develop a macro view of a problem. CONCLUSION: The results given above show the efficiency of the researched strategy in developing the higher psychological functions.
