Abstract

PONTES, Idalina Amélia Mota. Educational psychology practice in the school framework: not to manipulation, yes to contribution. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.84, pp. 417-427. ISSN 0103-8486.

The educational psychologist has a significant, preventive role in the complex learning process within the school framework, in which much information and many aspects must be taken into account and analyzed. Knowing how the student builds his/her knowledge, understand the dimensions of the relationships with the school, the teachers and the taught contents and linking them to the affective and cognitive aspects enable the educational psychologist to perform a more accurate work. It must be considered that the student's development happens in a harmonious and balanced fashion in the different organic, emotional, cognitive and social fields.
