Abstract

GOMES, Claudia  and  SOUZA, Vera Lucia Trevisan de. Education, School Psychology and inclusion: approximations necessary. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2011, vol.28, n.86, pp. 185-193. ISSN 0103-8486.

The understanding of educational problems represents one of the most important aspects for reaching educational qualification; thus, this research defined teacher needs and challenges and also the participation of Educational Psychology for the solution to these problems. The analyses of obtained information are related to teaching practices which dichotomizes, focusing only on methodology and technique. Teaching practices unaware of students needs. In the other hand, the study could verify that the challenges are related to a necessity of adopting teaching practices able to ponder and notice student's context. Such practices would also be social-balancing actions. The research concludes that more democratic (political, institutional and personal) views of teachers and educational psychologists are necessary for the driving towards changing the paradigm experienced in schools.
