Abstract

CASTANHO, Marisa Irene Siqueira. Psychopedagogy in health and hospital contexts: three decades of publications in revista psicopedagogia. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2014, vol.31, n.94, pp. 63-72. ISSN 0103-8486.

The study aimed to identify possibilities, advances and developments in psychopedagogy and psychopedagogist participation in hospital and health contexts. It was considered the relevance of research in line with the current moment of expansion of the field of Psychopedagogy. We opted for the analysis of publications of the Revista Psicopedagogia for it was an indexed journal and since 1982, with no interruption, it has been publishing in the psychopedagogy area. There were selected 19 texts of the period 1982-2012 by means of specific descriptors related to the subject. The results showed low incidence of publications on the theme researched, corresponding to 2.7% of all works published in the period, being: 0.7% from 1982-1991; 5.3% from 1992-2001 and 1.9% from 2002-2012. By analyzing the content, texts were organized by categories of service: 7 (36.8%) of them referred to the contribution of Psychopedagogy in hospitalizations; 5 (26.3%), to the participation of Psychopedagogy in Psychiatric Clinics, Neurology, Speech-language Pathology in treating learning disorders; 4 (21.1%) treated theoretically the importance of the partnership between Psychopedagogy and Pediatrics in the prevention of learning difficulties; 2 (10.5%) configured as historical revisions of the presence of the psychopedagogy in these contexts and 1 (5.3%) referred to the participation in drug addicts therapeutic community. It is considered the importance of the results, not the number of works, but the diversity of opportunities for psychopedagogist participation in interdisciplinary teams in the evaluation and intervention in learning processes in these contexts, what deserves an in-depth debate in search on systematizing and theorizing.
