Abstract the present work was drawn from the dissertation "the kid", Charlie Chaplin: Unraveling the appeal of a work of art in the classroom, from 2014, held at the postgraduate course in educational psychology, the Centro Universitário FIEO, Osasco/SP, and aimed to present and discuss the emotional and psychic experience appeals with the aforementioned film, designed for students of 2nd year of a public school in São Paulo as well as contributing to the reflections on the presence of art, especially the cinema, in the classroom, seen as humanizing instrument and/or therapeutic, aesthetic in nature, able to mobilize in the child its ability narrative and the expression of projective aspects. You can see the immense value of the filmic experience at school, because it allowed a greater psychic elaboration of students, in addition to mobilizing many existential knowledge.
