OBJECTIVE: The present study aimed to analyze the view of teachers about education for sexuality in childhood and about the prevention of child sexual violence METHOD: Participated 16 teachers from kindergarten to a city in the interior. For data collection we used a semi-structured interview guide developed by the researchers about ways to prevent child sexual violence in the school. The reports were audio-recorded and transcribed for content analysis RESULTS: The results of this study revealed that some teachers showed believe in the prevention of child sexual violence through dialogue on the subject with the child, however only one of them related to sexuality education to the prevention of child sexual violence. Other teachers reported that prevention should be done with the family, through lectures at school. Finally, there were teachers who reported no certainty about the possibility of preventing this type of violence. On the conceptions of the teachers regarding sexuality education in kindergarten, many revealed understand this work as necessary, while others showed believe that children are too small to address the issue in the classroom CONCLUSIONS: It is concluded that it is necessary to implement training courses for teachers those on the subject, recognizing professionals such as actors in preventing child sexual violence
