Abstract

The "twice-exceptionality" can be defined as a presence of high capacity in one or more areas occurring along deficiencies or conditions incompatible with these capabilities. This study aimed to present and discuss the presence of the Giftedness (GF) taking place concurrently in Asperger Syndrome (AS), Attention Deficit Disorder and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disorders (LD). Social behavior and creativity proved to be as fundamental characteristics for differentiation or concomitant diagnosis of AS and GF. In relation to ADHD, it was found that this characteristic behavior disorder may also be observed in GF. The LD was the most unusual diagnosis to be held in conjunction with GF, commonly due to academic performance be linked giftedness.
