Abstract

SOUZA, Lélia Castro de. Learning difficulties and psychic inhibition. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2018, vol.35, n.106, pp. 27-34. ISSN 0103-8486.

The article proposes an approach to learning difficulties from a clinical, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic point of view, highlighting certain intra-psychic movements that may be involved, including the process of psychic inhibition. Such movements can significantly affect the development of the child and adolescent in the school environment, causing problems in acquiring the knowledge offered by the school and, in some cases, changing the subject's ability to maintain good relationship with classmates and teachers. A clinical situation is presented to illustrate the author's proposal, a situation based on the therapeutic work of a 6-year-old boy, Joaquim.

Keywords : Learning; Psychic Inhibition; Epistemic Impulse; Intrapsychic Functioning; Symbolization; Rorschach Test.
