OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to highlight the construction of the authorizing link of learning in the relationships between teacher and student in college education. METHODS: The study was developed through the method of integrative review centered on two axes: Psycho-pedagogy and Special Education. RESULTS: It was verified that there are several variants that involve the practices developed by the areas of knowledge in evidence. However, coalition points were identified among them: the subjects' learning and the interdisciplinary conception. This understanding consists in a certain authorization, unequivocally, since the subject learns with whom s/he authorizes to teach. CONCLUSION: The complexity of the act of learning implies in understand the individual and particular processes in association with social affectations.
