Abstract

GONCALVES, Anna Beatryz Vieira et al. Psychopedagogy connecting academic learning in pandemic times. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2021, vol.38, n.117, suppl.1, pp. 156-166. ISSN 0103-8486.  http://dx.doi.org/10.51207/2179-4057.20210055.

The concern with the learning process of students has been a fundamental point of importance in the search for comprehension and for the ways of diminishing the difficulties faced in the academic world. However, this report brings up the need of formulating means and strategies capable of turning the academic process more fun and less emotionally degrading for young people who dream with a professional career. Nevertheless, it is worth emphasizing that we try to understand the learning process through multiple aspects such as cognitive, emotional, social, among others, therefore, we understand that the difficulties faced are related with the lack of motivation caused by remote teaching, also by the presence of symptoms related to anxiety, depression, as well as the moment we now live in, the COVID-19 pandemic. This way, two sessions were put in practice, the first one to comprehend the relations between the students and factors that influence their academic performance, and the second one to provide an intervention with a group of students using the TDICs (Digital Technology of Information and Communication) through gamified platforms, as a mean of retrieving their concentration and supporting the motivation of the participants, using the previous study as a basis to do so. In conclusion, the results obtained in the study lead to the efficiency of the use of those platforms as facilitators of the teaching-learning process, also contributing to the concentration and motivation of the students in the performed activities.
