Abstract

GERHEIM, Marcia Souza. Socioemotional competence, work and life project. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2022, vol.39, n.119, pp. 285-297. ISSN 0103-8486.  http://dx.doi.org/10.51207/2179-4057.20220025.

This article reports the investigation that involved students from a degree course in Pedagogy to promote the development of the socio-emotional competence number 6 of the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) named Work and Life Project. The methodology, with a qualitative approach and supported by the phenomenological framework, designed a questionnaire to evaluate the phenomenon. This instrument served to guide the evaluation process through indicators grouped in the dimensions Life and Work Project; as well as in the sub-dimensions: determination, effort, self-efficacy, perseverance and self-assessment, understanding of the world of work and preparation for work. The findings of this process were synthesized in groups of meanings which revealed that the participants are able to deal with adversities in a context marked by many changes, such as that one related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Data analysis demonstrates that those involved have knowledge of their own abilities, can recognize in themselves the persistence necessary to develop professionally and identify the existence of a still unexplored spectrum of professional practices. Among their main values for professional life, they mention sustainability, quality of life and self-fulfillment. In the final considerations, we highlight the contributions of the psycho pedagogical multidisciplinary perspective, which contributes to the continuous development of skills, attitudes and values which are essential to learning and that do not end at any stage of life.
