The present article aims to approach the theme of adoption based on the illustration of a clinical case and on theoretical-practical perspectives used to conduct and finalize the care process. To deal with the challenge of triggering the secret of adoption to a child, the technique that was used was ludotherapy (play therapy), having toys, games and narratives as instruments, supported by Systemic Theory. The article discusses the meaning of adoption for the adopted child and for the family.
