Abstract

MAZZOTTA, Maria do Carmo Eunice. Sociodrama, youth and social inclusion. Rev. bras. psicodrama [online]. 2010, vol.18, n.2, pp. 27-41. ISSN 2318-0498.

This text presents the reflections that have emerged from a research carried out by five psychodramatists with a group of youths from a project of a non-governmental organization, with the objective of preparing them to enter the job-market. The author first presents her understanding of youth, bringing together psychodramatic concepts with other areas such as history and sociology. Then she addresses socio-psychodrama as a working method for youths, as well as some of her thoughts regarding the experiences with this project. The research has highlighted two particularly significant aspects: firstly, during the socio-psychodramatic work with these youths constant references were made to the adult universe, both in their questioning and critical attitudes, as well as their moments of proximity, fulfilment and experimenting. The second aspect that has been explored was the importance of both private and public spaces for the development of the group and their inclusion into the community.

Keywords : Socio-psychodrama; research; youth; social inclusion.
