Beyond bringing new understanding of youth and socionomy, this paper explores the relationship between youth and their first work experience, aiming to understand the factors that are involved in this process from the perspective of psychodrama and other relevant research around this subject. This theoretical and empirical research tries to identify the meaning of work for youth, and how the first work experience might influence their identity. Links are made between the outcome results and the psychodrama theory, indicating that socionomy can offer a fertile ground for knowledge and research in relation to work.
