In this brief communication, the author analyses the place of the ageing process within modern society. The author uses contemplation as the basis for the recovery of time, which, through the use of adequate language, makes room for "what is not thought", in a group intervention with elderly women. The author supposes that there is a direct relation between the bond of affection between the coordinator of the participant groups and the capacity of the Ego to bear the tension, contain the action and feel the lack of gratification: creating space for thought in the construction of spontaneity, within the dramatic setting.
