In this article, epistemological bases of Sociodrama are analyzed and interpreted and, consequently, fitted in the humanist quarters, such as Humanism, Functionalism, Structuralism or Interpretivism, according to Burrell e Morgan (1979). Therefore, it was conducted a bibliometric study in the Brazilian Journal of Psychodrama, a national publication of the Brazilian Federation of Psychodrama (Febrap). Given some established criteria for selection, five articles were analyzed. As conclusion, it was found that, from these authors' perspectives, it prevails to situate the Sociodrama in the boundaries of Humanism and Interpretivism. Finally, it has become clear that some authors are more transparent in relation to their epistemological choices, while others are silent about it.
