BARROS, Luiza Maria Soares  and  DIAS, Alcione Ribeiro. Professional role therapy: a socionomic modality of work. Rev. bras. psicodrama [online]. 2019, vol.27, n.2, pp. 236-241. ISSN 2318-0498.  http://dx.doi.org/10.15329/2318-0498.20190025.

Professional role therapy is a sociopsychodramatic working mode, referenced in role theory and articulated with psychodramatic pedagogy. It aims to treat and develop the social role of greatest presence in contemporary life - the professional role. It is a process that favors choices and awareness of the external reality in which the role is inserted. The contextualization of work as a human activity generates more sense and social meaning, transforms the subject, the bonds and the social reality itself.

Keywords : socionomy; psychodrama; psychodramatic pedagogy; work; professional role.
