This paper presents a literature review about juvenile delinquency. Aiming to investigate the national scientific production of the last decade, we have selected for this study 35 articles, published in journals of health sciences databases, in general. We present the theoretical and methodological aspects of such studies, as well as the key issues addressed by them: institutions of social control, social psychological and individual values, human values, public policies and intervention proposals. In conclusion, we highlight the need to develop further work to address the issue of coping with juvenile delinquency and the interdisciplinary approach to theory and practice to deal with this phenomenon
