This study analyses the narratives of periphery at the Rede Globo´s "Central da Periferia - Minha Periferia" television show. Through some media construction about periphery elements, it seeks to discuss the organization of an ethos, using the TV show narratives. With this objective, were used theories about discourse - specially the mediatic one. It is mainly used assumptions of Bakthin´s dialogy and aspects that involves Mainguenau´s enunciation scene. The discourse in each context reveals different aspects of periphery conception, clarified through icons and nuances where gradually the periphery and community concepts are implied, by organizing a logic differentiation relating to major cultural parameters on Brazilian society.
