Abstract

In this article we consider the media as a complex field, crossed by heterogeneous struggles to bring into play the contest of values, political and economic interests. Our analysis aims to question the multiple power relations that constitute the space of discursive practices and non-discursive. And ask, especially as these relations have been marked by the formation of monopolies in the communication system in Brazil. For this, we rely on the analysis of the relations of power-knowledge-subjectivity in Michel Foucault. We analyze how the oligarchies of the broadcasting industry in the field of communication, they can articulate a device that plays crystallized in their practices banality of everyday life, marked by sensational entertainment market, limiting than other modes of existence and discourses circulate and gain visibility in Brazilian society.
