In Brazil, Axel Honneth'sworkmanshipis, still in a while, a little divulged. There are some articles on periodics, rare chapters in books and only twobooks from the author translated to Portuguese, all of these in national circulation. The main objective is giving a synthesis about Honneth's Work and trajectory. Currently he is considered the representative of the third generation of "Frankfurt school" in the European academy. In special, to offer introductory subsidies to everyone who is interested in knowing his Theory of Recognition as well as a good reflection on the validity of such approach in the understanding of the current urban conflictualities.
