This article aims to explore the relationship between consumption and the temporal dimension. It is understood that the Slow Food social movement of Italian descent in time has its central problematic. Thus, to understand the closeness between consumption and the temporal dimension, the proposed work involves an attempt to explore the themes of consumption and time from the theoretical propositions present in the work The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism by Max Weber, Ethics and the romantic spirit of modern consumerism Colin Campbell, World of Mary Douglas and Baron Isherwood goods and reflection Anthony Giddens on modernity.
