Abstract

The initiative to write about systemic family therapies in the context of Psychosocial Care cames from the experiences of one of the researchers, who is a family therapist and works in a psychosocial alcohol and drug center. This article intended to make a brief contextualization, from the National Policy on Drugs, of the treatments offered to the patients and their families in the psychosocial alcohol and drug center, and, mainly, by a case report, from a practical experience, the applicability of systemic therapies in psychosocial establishments was emphasized, as a further treatment for drug addiction. The results of the research reiterate the importance of inserting family care in mental health services.
