Some studies point to the difficulty in integrating children and adults into the therapeutic process simultaneously. This studyreports the difficulty encountered by one co-therapists, during the obligatory curricular traineeship in psychology, in linking with a family with a young child. Describes the forms of coping that were offered to her and helped her formation: the emotional support offered to the trainee, the availability of technical and theoretical resources that gave her greater security to act, and some changes in the therapeutic setting. All these processes enabled the connection between therapists and the family served.
