Abstract

FIESTAS, José Luís Rodríguez; AFONSO, Carlos Expósito  and  GARCIA, Juan Báez. Polyphonies: Songs to talk. Nova perspect. sist. [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.59, pp. 22-36. ISSN 0104-7841.

Working with teenagers is a real challenge for social workers. In the present article, the authors describe the methodology used with teenagers, namely music, post-modern social constructionism, collaborative dialogue sessions and narratives practice. They also describe first hand and in a more profound sense the methodology, using the term "cancionear" (song-versation). This methodology generates changes and personal transformations not only within the teenagers themselves but around their environment too. The article tries to discuss both methodology and the story-telling, giving the chance for new thoughts and conversations to arise from them.

Keywords : intervention with adolescents; collaborative and dialogic practices; Narrative practices.
